BIO

Susan J. Hudson is an emerging fiction writer working on a collection of short stories set in the area of rural Virginia where she grew up. These are inspired by what the grownups stopped talking about when the children were around.
Some have been published: "Kidney Stones" tells of a beloved aunt's mysterious illness in the 1960s; "Planting Day" introduces a tobacco farmer whose Vietnam vet son would rather write computer code; and "Hot Air" reveals just how deadly a disputed driveway can be.
She is also writing a historical novel set in Colonial Virginia on the verge of the American Revolution.
An adaptation of Rafael Sabatini's classic swashbuckling adventure "Scaramouche," FLINTLOCKS AT DAWN is the story of Eldridge Shirley, who becomes a revolutionary to avenge the death of a friend killed in a lopsided duel with a British naval officer.
She also enjoys spending time with her sweetie, Mike, and her two well-adjusted adult daughters, Mary and Michele.
